South Dakota is strong because of the values we share: faith, family, freedom, and personal responsibility.
I’m running for State House to protect the South Dakota way of life and ensure our communities remain great places to live, work, and raise a family. My priorities focus on lowering the cost of living, strengthening education and career pathways, and protecting the constitutional rights of our citizens.

PROPERTY TAX RELIEF & HOUSING AFFORDABILITY
Families, farmers, and retirees across South Dakota are feeling the pressure of rising property taxes and housing costs. I will work to prioritize property tax relief, ensure fairness and transparency in our tax system, and support policies that help expand responsible housing development so families can afford to live and work in our communities.

EDUCATION & CAREER PATHWAYS
Not every student needs a four-year university degree to build a successful future. South Dakota should continue expanding technical education, skilled trades training, apprenticeships, and workforce partnerships with local businesses so students graduate with practical skills and real career opportunities.

PROTECTING CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
Our freedoms are the foundation of South Dakota. I will stand firmly for the protection of our constitutional rights, including the right to life, the Second Amendment, and the freedoms of speech and religion that allow our communities and families to thrive.
MEET SETH
Seth Phillips is a father, small business owner, and community advocate who believes South Dakota works best when families are strong, communities are connected, and government respects the people it serves.
Seth grew up in Milbank, South Dakota and has lived in Watertown for the past seven years. This region is home, and it is where he is raising his two daughters with Shana.
Seth’s life has included both challenges and growth. Earlier in life he made mistakes that forced him to take a hard look at the direction his life was heading. Through accountability, discipline, and a commitment to building something better, he turned his life around and focused on becoming the father and leader his family could depend on.
Those experiences shaped Seth’s belief in personal responsibility, strong families, and the importance of building communities where people are encouraged to live with integrity and purpose.
Today Seth is focused on building a better future for his family and for South Dakota. Through his work supporting local businesses and community initiatives, he has become committed to strengthening the place he calls home.
Seth is running for State House to protect the South Dakota way of life, defend constitutional rights, support working families, strengthen education and career pathways, and ensure government remains accountable to the people.
